Complutum Geographic Information Technologies S.L. (COMPLUTIG) is a Technology-Based Company of the University of Alcalá created in 2012 by a group of professors and researchers. COMPLUTIG offers advanced solutions in the treatment of spatial information: Cartography, Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing. COMPLUTIG’s human capital has extensive know-how developed over more than 30 years of research in the field of geographic information technology (GIT). Among the lines of activity, the team has extensive and recognized experience in the treatment of satellite images, both from active sensors (LiDAR, RADAR) and passive (multispectral, thermal, hyperspectral) for the resolution of environmental problems or in the improvement of efficiency in resource management.

As a company, COMPLUTIG has carried out more than 30 innovation projects for Spanish and international companies and organizations. Our Spanish clients include the National Geographic Institute, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the National Institute of Aerospace Technology, the Spanish Institute of Oceanography and the National Council for Scientific Research. And among the international clients, it is worth mentioning the European Space Agency, the European Environment Agency, the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission, or the German cooperation agency (GIZ). The company is, for its innovative work, in the register of innovative SMEs of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
